The board approved modest increases to lunch and breakfast prices to comply with the National School Lunch Program's allowable increases and to shore up the lunch fund balance.
The business manager explained the federal program permitted a maximum 10¢ increase per meal and recommended raising K–5 lunch to $3.50, grades 6–12 to $3.75 and guest lunches to $5.45; breakfast would rise to $2.50 across K–12. To improve the program fund balance, staff recommended raising extra‑milk/seconds to $0.25 and extra milk to $0.10. A board member noted these programs are tied to free‑and‑reduced counts and state funding formulas.
The motion to adopt the price changes passed by voice vote. Administration will implement the new prices for the 2026–27 school year and submit required federal documentation.
