Bristol Borough SD wins $1.42 million in state grants for high-school track and boilers

That is for to resurface the track behind the high school on Trenton Avenue," the Board President said, later adding, "and the other 1 is for 937,500, and that is to replace the boilers at the high schools. So that amount comes to $1,422,500." The board credited borough officials and state legislators for helping secure the awards.
The president told the board the borough applied for the track grant because the district was not eligible for that specific program; borough staff handled deed transfers and the application paperwork on a compressed timeline. He thanked the mayor, borough council and the district's administrative staff for coordinating with state representatives and agency officials to complete filings.
Board members praised the award as a way to avoid large capital costs to the district and to deliver safety and facility improvements for students and the public. The board also acknowledged SiteLogic engineers and district buildings-and-grounds staff for their role in preparing applications and documentation.
Next steps discussed at the meeting included finalizing project managers and coordinating schedules for construction and equipment replacement; the superintendent reported project planning is underway for the boilers and associated mechanical work.
