The administration recommended adoption of a drafted 2026–27 school calendar that includes 190 teacher work days and 180 student days including graduation and published dates for the first day of school. The superintendent confirmed the day counts when asked by board members.
The board also considered a group of updated policies—on attendance, student health, examinations and screenings, medication use, reporting student progress, assessment and class rank, graduation requirements and commercial sponsorship agreements—that had been circulated as information items at the February 17 meeting and reviewed by the solicitor. After brief discussion the board moved the policies to approval.
Board members asked that the finalized calendar be published promptly to the district website and requested continued communication with guidance counselors and families about upcoming changes to graduation credit structure.
