Missus Lentz outlined preliminary assumptions for the 26-27 budget, saying individual staff contracts will receive a 3% increase, act 93 positions 3.1% and professional staff 3.25%. She emphasized these are early figures and that step movement will be added when salary rolls are finalized.
On benefits and long-term obligations, Lentz reported a preliminary health-care cost estimate of about 5% for the district (noting other South Central Trust members are seeing much higher increases). She said the PSERS employer contribution rate for 26-27 is set at 33.59, down slightly from the current 34 percent. On debt, she listed two district bond series with combined principal and interest of roughly $4.8 million and said PlanCon reimbursement of approximately $596,000 will be budgeted as revenue.
