The Claymont City Board of Education approved Items A–O during its Jan. 12, 2026 organizational meeting. The vote established the district—s regular 2026 meeting schedule (regular meetings at the Administrative Office at 6:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of most months, with specified special dates) and named representatives and committee appointees, including Martha Campbell as OSBA Legislative representative and Lois Grandison as OSBA Student Liaison among other assignments.
The board also authorized administrative actions: the Treasurer was designated signatory for payroll and warrant checks and authorized to request advances from the County Auditor and to invest interim funds; interest among funds will be distributed in accordance with R.C. 42.22. The board employed the legal firm Pepple & Waggoner as counsel, authorized E‑Rate telecommunications signatory by the Treasurer, set mileage reimbursement to the IRS rate of $.725 per mile, and set the minimum wage at the federal rate of $11.00 per hour.
