Board approves hires, leave and permits district buses for YMCA summer programming
Summary

The board approved several personnel items recommended by Superintendent Rentsch, including unpaid maternity leave for Markie Tarleton effective March 9, 2026; appointment of Anna Debolt as a preferred substitute retroactive to Feb. 23 at $115 per day; one-year limited contracts for Kayla Cromley (educational aide) and Dan Kinsey (bus floater); and up to 30 extended service days for Jasmine Russell.
The board also approved use of Claymont school buses for YMCA summer programming with all costs to be charged to the YMCA, and approved Lily Specht as a student teacher for 2026–27 with assigned mentors Staci Dunn and Shannon Viebranz. Motions carried on roll call vote as presented by the superintendent.
