Board approves Kent State MOU, OSBA membership and several tech/service contracts

The board approved on Jan. 12 a Memorandum of Understanding with Kent State University for College Credit Plus for the 2026–27 school year and authorized membership in the Ohio School Boards Association for 2026 at a cost of $8,398. The superintendent's recommendations also included contracts with OME‑RESA for internet services (using E‑Rate where applicable), Congruex for fiber removal and set‑up to the central office, and Laketec for UPS unit services.
The motions passed unanimously. The minutes note these contracts were presented "as presented" with no amendments; the administration will execute the agreements and apply E‑Rate discounts where eligible.
