The Claymont City Board of Education elected Solomon Peters as President for 2026 during its organizational meeting on Jan. 12, 2026. Mrs. Host moved to elect Peters and Ms. Campbell seconded; on roll call Mrs. Host, Ms. Campbell, Mrs. Grandison and Mrs. Wolf voted yes and Mr. Peters abstained.
Following the vote, Treasurer Kim Beckley administered the Oath of Office for President to Solomon Peters. The board then proceeded to nominations for vice‑president and other organizational items.
