Jamestown Area School Board on May 14 approved several personnel actions: it accepted the resignation of elementary teacher Kristen McClure effective Aug. 2, 2026, authorized advertising and hiring to replace her, and approved hiring Marley Chapman as a special education teacher for 2026–2027 at a Step 1 Bachelor salary of $50,325.00. The motions were made by Mrs. Mayer and passed by unanimous voice vote.
The board also approved Grove City College student-teacher placements for the 2026–2027 school year (Marissa Knepper with Kelly Redick; Maren McIntire with Leann McClimans; Anna Wolcott with Kathy King; Broderick Schreyer with Melissa Potase; Elliott Infante with Tracy Laidlaw). The minutes record additional resignations from extracurricular posts (Justin Pipp and Crystal Nicols) and authorized various unpaid leave days for staff members.
