High school vestibule, visitor-badge system expected operational by end of September

Facilities staff reported progress on a high-school safety project that will add a secure vestibule and visitor-badging capability. "We're installing a different glass on the side as you enter. You'll be able to have a conversation with the high school office staff right there as you walk into it," facilities staff told the board, describing a small secure vestibule and upcoming technology additions.

Staff said window installation would finish this week, door technology would be added over the following month, and the vestibule should be fully operational by the end of September. The board noted the project is part of ongoing safety-and-security improvements across campus.
