The motion to approve the Old/New Business consent agenda—which included the bus proposition—was made by Aaron Lounsbury and seconded by Gregory Schweiger and carried by a vote of 6-0. The resolution authorizes the board to apply any trade‑in allowance, to raise necessary funds by tax installments, and to issue district obligations under Education Law and Local Finance Law; it also permits paying cash from the general fund balance if state legislation allows without capacity penalties.
The board set a public hearing on the proposed 2026‑27 budget for Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 5:30 p.m., with the proposed budget to be posted online and available for review starting April 21. The Annual Budget Vote and Election will take place Tuesday, May 19, 2026, between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in Room 96 via the rear entrance of the Tioga Central Middle School gymnasium. Petitions to nominate board candidates must be filed with the district clerk by April 20, 2026.
