Michael Williams, director of the Committee on Special Education, briefed the board on off-campus placements and service adjustments. He reported that 'a student attending the MOVE program began the year using a wheelchair and gait trainer. He no longer needs the assistance of either and will be able to move to the PALS program next school year,' and that many off-campus students have at least one of their current services decreased in some capacity.
Williams told the board the State sent an email confirming 'that the district has no discrepancies in our IEP plans due to race for this school year.' The board later approved the CSE/CPSE/504 recommendations by motion, indicating the board accepted the committee’s suggested placements and services for the students under review.
