Students recognized: FFA week, state qualifiers and club successes highlighted

Miss Corrine Hale introduced herself to the board and gave a brief update on her New Visions placement and the internship rotations she is completing. Student Board Member Eden Cooper reported that next week is National FFA Week with a Spirit Week and a weeklong FFA Duck Scramble; she also shared that the Scholarship Challenge team took first place, cheerleading placed second at the IAC championship and will move on to Sectionals, and multiple athletes and teams are advancing to higher-level competition.
The Elementary School will celebrate the 100th day of school; a book fair and Read Across America events including a Candy Land-themed reading night were announced. The board noted several recognitions for student academic and athletic achievement but did not take formal action on these items.
