The Town of Webb Union Free School District Board of Education unanimously elected Diane Heroux as board president and Margaret Morelli as vice president for the 2026–2027 school year during its reorganizational meeting on July 9, 2026.
Marissa Van Valkenburg moved to appoint Diane Heroux as president, and Margaret Morelli seconded the motion. The board recorded the motion in the minutes: "On a motion by M. Van Valkenburg, seconded by M. Morelli, the Board votes to approve the appointment of D. Heroux as Board of Education President for the 2026-2027 school year. Vote: Yes - 4 No - 0." The board likewise approved Morelli as vice president on a motion by Van Valkenburg and second by Heroux, also passing 4–0.
The board administered the Oath of Allegiance to the newly appointed officers. The meeting roster listed Diane Heroux, Margaret Morelli, Elisha Cohen and Marissa Van Valkenburg as members present; two members were absent. The reorganizational meeting was called to order by District Clerk Mary Kate Russell at 5:02 p.m. and adjourned at 5:06 p.m.
The appointments set leadership for board business in the coming school year and were recorded in the meeting minutes, which remain in draft form until formally approved at a subsequent meeting.
