King won the school Spelling Bee and represented the district at the Jeff‑Lewis BOCES regional competition; students participated in STEM visits from SUNY Poly and SUNY Cortland; a 5th–6th grade book club was started by new librarian Madison Wittwer; and the district plans a Career Fair on May 21.
Swick also highlighted athletic and program recognitions: varsity basketball and volleyball teams advanced to sectionals first‑round victories; several athletes earned CSC all‑star mentions; four students qualified for NYSSRA Championships in alpine and nordic events; and program students from HGSTC were named Student(s) of the Month.
