Board authorizes inter-district transportation agreements and approves town bus use for summer rec (pending conditions)
Summary
Trustees authorized agreements with Inlet Common School and Raquette Lake UFSD for transportation and related educational services for 2026–27 and approved a Town of Webb Recreation Department request to use a district bus July 6–Aug 6, 2026, pending driver availability and insurance.
On Feb. 12 the board authorized the superintendent to enter into agreements with Inlet Common School and Raquette Lake Union Free School District to provide transportation and related educational services for PK–12 students during the 2026–27 school year.
The board also approved a request from the Town of Webb Recreation Department to use a district bus and driver for camp transportation between July 6 and Aug. 6, 2026; the approval is contingent on driver availability and the town naming the district as an additional insured. Vote: Yes–5, No–0.
Board members discussed transportation logistics earlier in committee reports, noting that a new bus has been ordered and the district is considering installation of a new bus lift. These procurement and agreement decisions are intended to support student transportation needs in the coming school year.
