Principal John Swick told the board that students and faculty took part in Community Pride Day on Wednesday, May 6, and that the third‑ and sixth‑grade classes were the top classes in trash collected. "Together, we brought in over 3000 pounds of trash!" he said.
Swick also reported that third‑quarter report cards were mailed on April 24; Advanced Placement students in AP Biology, AP Government and AP Environmental Science were completing exams during May; and New York State 3–8 testing occurred this week for ELA, math and science. He reminded families that Pre‑K and kindergarten screenings will take place the first week of June and asked anyone enrolling a child who has not received information to contact the main office.
On extracurriculars, Swick noted students participated in the Solo Festival on May 1 and that the spring concert is scheduled for May 27 at 6:30 p.m. He highlighted recognitions tied to Educator Appreciation Week and listed student awards including Artists of the Quarter and Section III Scholar Athlete winners.
