The Sweet Home Central School District Board of Education authorized the district to use Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) negotiated by the RIC ONE Risk Operations Center (the ROC) and its attorneys for the 2026–2027 fiscal year. The resolution notes ROC’s work to negotiate DPAs that include requirements for student personally identifiable information under New York State Education Law Section 2-d and Part 121 Regulations, and states the DPAs are presented to districts for final execution.
The resolution also explicitly reserves the district’s right to make determinations about use of DPAs and related software, and to consult the district’s legal counsel before executing any specific agreement. Board materials reference ROC partnerships with NYSED and privacy consortia; no fiscal impact beyond budgeted amounts was recorded in the minutes.
