Board members said they wanted a clearer, graduated accountability process — for example, a warning first, then further action — and questioned whether the board president alone should be the initial receiver of complaints. The superintendent said he would revise the wording and consult legal counsel for language that clarifies escalation and options. The board voted to table the draft so staff could return with revised language and legal input before releasing it for public comment or action.
