Struckle elected board president; Francisco chosen vice president at Laurens Central reorganization

At the July 1 reorganization meeting the board elected C. Struckle as president and T. Francisco as vice president (each election carried 4-0-1); oaths were administered for both positions and for Superintendent W. Dorritie.
The Laurens Central School Board elected C. Struckle as Board President and T. Francisco as Board Vice President during its July 1, 2025 reorganization meeting. P. Bush-Allen nominated Struckle for president; the nomination was seconded by M. Wikoff and the election carried 4-0-1. The Vice President nomination of T. Francisco by P. Bush-Allen, seconded by G. Murello, likewise carried 4-0-1.
Following each election, the board administered the Oath of Office: District Clerk Pamela Weir administered the oath to President Struckle; Board President Struckle administered the oath to Vice President Francisco. President Struckle also administered the Oath of Office to Superintendent William Dorritie earlier in the meeting.
The minutes list the vote outcomes as carried 4-0-1 but do not identify which member, if any, recorded the single abstention. The board’s membership at the meeting was C. Struckle, T. Francisco, M. Wikoff, P. Bush-Allen and G. Murello.
