The board approved a slate of routine items during the Oct. 22 meeting.
On the superintendent's recommendation the board approved instructional personnel items, non-instructional personnel items, business items (including BOCES budget reallocations to cover shared services expenses), special services resolutions and new business resolutions. Each motion was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; the chair called for 'All in favor?' and the responses were recorded as 'Aye,' with motions carrying.
Minutes were approved earlier in the meeting by voice vote and the board administered the oath of office to the district clerk during the session. The board recorded no roll-call tallies in the public portion for these items; explanations of some reallocations were given verbally by a board member and by a staff speaker during the business-item discussion.
These routine approvals were processed under the consent/approval section of the agenda and require administrative follow-up where appropriate (for example, BOCES budget transfers to be reflected in accounting records).
