Superintendent B. Dorritie provided calendar and operations updates: a joint Superintendent conference day on Oct. 10 at SUNY Oneonta, Parent/Teacher Conferences Nov. 24–25 (half days), a 'Go Home Early' drill Nov. 7, Fall Concert Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m., Veterans Day breakfast Nov. 10, a joint Homecoming Dance with Milford, and Trunk or Treat on Oct. 25 where a public safety table will offer car seat checks and Safe Child IDs.
Principal J. Mushtare presented district assessment data for grades 3–8 covering 2021–2025, noted two years of computer‑based state testing, and proposed purchasing two metal‑detecting wands at an estimated cost of $500; Mushtare stated a policy would be needed to guide their use. Transportation supervisor J. Kessler said fall sports trips are winding down and vehicle inspections are upcoming, and Buildings & Grounds supervisor Steve West reported the Capital Outlay project is moving forward and capital project paperwork has been submitted to SED.
