Laurens board approves post‑referendum construction manager for capital project

The Laurens Central School Board of Education voted on Oct. 15, 2025 to retain Schoolhouse Construction Services to provide Construction Management Services for the post‑referendum stage of the district capital project. The motion, made by T. Francisco and seconded by G. Murello, carried 5‑0‑0.
The resolution authorizes the president of the Board or the superintendent to enter into a Post‑Referendum Contract and directs the construction manager to provide standard services including coordination with the architect, project scheduling, cost estimating and bid assistance. The board’s approval was conditional on a proper insurance rider; the resolution and contract language were presented in the meeting packet. Ferrara Fiorenza, P.C., served as the district’s legal counsel on the contract documents.
