Morrow County commissioners approve routine payments, disaster-services appropriation and fund transfer

Morrow County commissioners approved a set of routine payments and budget moves during their Aug. 12 regular session.

During the meeting the clerk read the payment items, including a payment involving Johnfield Hospital and a refund to Wells Fargo related to an overpayment, and noted an appropriation of certified monies to the ENA disaster services fund. “For the following payments, payments from the Johnfield Hospital, Wells Fargo for a refund on an overpayment and have been cash for their August lease payment,” the clerk read aloud as the board considered the item. A motion to approve the payments and appropriation was made and passed by the board.

The board also authorized a transfer of funds from the general fund to support the public defender program; that transfer was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners did not debate the amounts on the record during the public portion of the meeting and no dollar figures were specified in the readout.

The decisions were recorded as routine financial housekeeping tied to current service and disaster-response activities; staff did not present additional budget-detail documents during the session and commissioners did not request follow-up reports on funding specifics.
