PTA council outlines spring events, fundraisers and volunteer activities

A PTA representative updated the board on recent and upcoming family- and fundraising events. Highlights included Camp Avenue—s game-show event, a taco-and-trivia night with about 80 attendees, a book fair on April 23, a spring auction on April 16 at Mulcahy's, a Spring Fling on May 1, and a talent show scheduled for May 15.
The PTA representative also said staff-appreciation week is the week of May 4 and described a Night to Connect fundraiser at Pit Stop in Merrick on April 21 with a portion of proceeds to support the PTA. The representative asked the board and community to note PTA meeting and fundraiser dates and thanked volunteers for recent activities.
