Buildings and Grounds reports replaced water heater, playground work and turf-field progress

"We replaced the giant water heater at Camp Avenue, which was a big project... It was 20 years old," Mr. Carter said, adding that the district also flushed water systems before reopening to reduce stagnation and lead risk. He reported the operable gym partition at Old Mill was repaired under a more cost-effective plan, playground wood-fiber maintenance is ongoing, and concrete and backstop work at the turf field were completed with turf installation to follow.
Mr. Carter thanked volunteer partners and noted the Little League donation that supported the turf-field improvements. Board members asked for updates on turf timing and Mr. Carter said he hoped to have more information the following day.
