Facilities staff reported the district is replacing underground fuel-oil tank monitoring systems that were outdated and difficult to source parts for; the speaker said the replacements are required by law and are already in progress. The staff member also praised the maintenance crew for a rapid repair to a parking-lot light outage the previous night.
"We're replacing the fuel oil tank monitoring systems. It's just a fancy computer that monitors our underground fuel oil tanks. It's required by law, and, ours were outdated," the staff member said, adding that parts had been hard to obtain and the district is moving forward with replacements. The speaker also noted the maintenance crew restored parking-lot lighting within 24 hours after an outage, thanking them for the quick work.
