District highlights 26 dual-credit courses, says it covers tuition for students

Presenters told the board the district lists 26 different college-level dual-credit courses as part of its academic offerings and that the district covers tuition for those college courses, which they said reduces cost barriers for families.
"One of the things that jumps out at me is they're talking about 26 different college level dual credit courses," one presenter said. Another presenter added: "the district actually covers the tuition for those college courses." The presenters also named partner institutions (community colleges and SUNY campuses, and Syracuse University's Project Advanced) and described over a dozen live distance-learning courses that broaden course options.
Board members said those options are part of the district's strategy to give students multiple pathways to postsecondary credentials and to lower costs for families.
