District to replace Blackboard with ParentSquare; pilot begins in April

Ted Love (S7) briefed the board on the district's planned move from Blackboard to a communication platform called ParentSquare. He said the district will pilot ParentSquare in April with athletics, transportation and Hastings Mallory Elementary, and plans full replacement of Blackboard in July.
"It will be replacing our blackboard notification system in July," Ted Love said, noting ParentSquare also supports teacher-to-family messaging and works via text and email for families who do not install the app. Love said the district will provide onboarding information and that some buildings will pilot the service in April ahead of the districtwide rollout.
