The Central Square Central School District board announced two administrative hirings during its regular meeting.
"So we would like to congratulate, if you can stand up, Brooke Thomas," the Superintendent said as the board welcomed Thomas, who is coming from RFA and will step into an assistant principal role at the high school. The Superintendent also introduced Elizabeth Smith, who "is coming to us from Fayetteville Manley School District" and has signed on to be the one-year interim at Millard Hawk.
Board members offered brief praise for both hires. The Superintendent said staff "speak very highly of her" when referring to Smith and asked the audience to welcome the new administrators. The announcements followed routine agenda motions and were presented as part of the personnel portion of the meeting.
The board did not discuss contractual terms or salaries for either hire on the record at the meeting. Next steps mentioned were orientation and placement logistics under district human-resources procedures.
