Resident raises concern about Tidesides Storage Facility condition; board cites DEC allowances

During the July 7 meeting, resident David Brandt asked the Planning Board for an update on the Tidesides Storage Facility, saying the site "continues in an unsightly state" and seeking clarification on what the board was doing about it.

Board members responded that DEC had allowed gravel stockpiling for future use and that trailers and materials were still permitted to be stored in agreed areas; they added the site would be cleaner once upper-level buildings were completed. The CEO reminded the board that detailed discussion of enforcement or site-specific actions could not be conducted in that meeting context.

The board did not take formal enforcement action at the session; staff advised the resident that any detailed follow-up would require separate staff-level review and, if appropriate, a future agenda item or code-enforcement step. The board confirmed its next meeting date as July 21, 2025.
