Principal reports higher attendance, upcoming testing and $14,000 grant for student programs

In the district session report, an administrator identified as Scott told the board that March attendance rose to a little over 95% and reviewed spring activities including track, golf, softball and music performances. "March attendance was a little bit up. A little over 95% attendance, which is pretty good," he said.
Scott also noted Smarter Balanced testing began for 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th grades and said the statewide ACT scores are expected to be lower with universal testing; he said he would look into additional test‑prep options. The report included a $14,000 grant the district received from Bankwest for choir robes and other needs and a status update on hiring for open positions.
