Scott also outlined ongoing summer projects: playground replacement (removal of old mulch, new rubber substrate and higher curb borders), packaged roof replacements on three smaller roofs, replacement of phone and intercom systems and updates to internet switches and cabling. He said the newly refinished gym floor was completed that day and would be off limits for about a week. No specific completion date was given for every project, but crews are expected to finish some systems in the next week or two.
Board members asked clarifying questions about staffing and registration; the superintendent said the new guidance counselor will be at the school August 11–12 for registration days and that class lists will be shared with parents before August 1 if possible. The board took no formal action beyond acknowledging the report.
