Mr. Sayers summarized a recent lockdown drill on Nov. 7 and said critical systems—inter-building communication, emails and door locks—worked as intended. “We had a lockdown drill on November 7, and that went really well,” he told the board.
He also described district staff work on PBIS (positive behavior intervention and supports), including a book study to align schoolwide approaches and student-support mapping to identify students who lack consistent adult connections. Administrators said the district will continue training and review outcomes from the drill and PBIS work.
