Liberty students earn state-level recognition; schools preview concerts and book fair

Mr. Dodge told the board that the Liberty volleyball team “went to state, finished 6th,” and noted two all-league selections and a coach-of-the-year honor.
Administrators also celebrated the girls cross-country team's academic state championship and noted that the Hanegens ran in a state elite event. The board heard several program updates and event schedules: a junior-high field trip to Eagles Ice Arena, a K–4 music concert on Dec. 16 (which coincides with the board's December meeting), and a school book fair that staff continued to support despite an employee's recent car accident.
Staff praised volunteers and coaches for contributions to assemblies and Veterans Day programming; Mr. Fletcher thanked Coach Houghton for speaking at the Veterans Day assembly.
