Elementary principal: $4,000 literacy grant, FabLab visit and gifted program events

Miss Bouser, the elementary school principal, told the board the school's federal program documentation (Title I, II, IV) was uploaded to the state by the March 31 deadline and the school is awaiting the auditor's visit. She said Title IV funds support STEM, gifted enrichment and outreach programs and that FabLab visited the school during the week.
"We are excited to receive a $4,000 grant from Books and Homes, which has allowed every student in our school to receive 2 books of their own," Miss Bouser said, adding the grant also provided about 200 books for the library's book‑vending machine and that the school will launch a school‑wide read.
The board heard details about upcoming gifted-program events (grades 1–5 attending The Hobbit at the Arden Theatre) and community engagement through family turnout at recent showcases.
