Miss Bouser, introduced by the chair as the elementary principal, presented the district’s federal programs update, describing use of Title I, II and IV funds to support STEM, gifted enrichment and other initiatives. She said Title IV continues to support STEM and enrichment activities and described a unit in grades 1–3 on immigration with a virtual trip to Ellis Island and a family‑recipe cookbook project.
She reported that about 74 guardians attended the grades 2–3 "outrageous" showcase and that staff will complete required PSSA training during the district’s upcoming professional development day. She also thanked local donors for supporting the school pantry and noted a scheduled parent/student dance for grades on Feb. 21 from 6–8 p.m.
The principal said the district will feature a presentation by staff participating in the IU's MTSS Leadership Academy at the next professional development day and that required testing and training preparations are underway.
