Principals report positive start to year; district schedules mental‑health assembly and drill

Elementary Principal Michelle Hardler said "the beginning of the school year is going very well," noting faculty members are building relationships with students. Middle School Principal Greg Lehr reported expectation-setting meetings and a presentation on online communication and the dangers of social media.
High School Principal Jonathan Cooley said safety teams have met, fire drills have occurred and a lockdown/lockout drill is scheduled for next week. Cooley also reported the district will start the process to hire a special education teacher aide and that the middle school remains in need of a certified science teacher.
