Board approves high‑school principal appointment, permanent business manager and multiple personnel actions

The board approved several personnel resolutions at its Oct. 7 meeting. Among the actions, the board appointed Jonathan D. Cooley as High School Principal in the tenure area of School Building Leader, effective Sept. 27, 2024, with a probationary period ending Sept. 27, 2028 (resolution C1).
The board also approved a permanent appointment for Erin Gramstad to the School Business Manager position, subject to civil service rules and successful completion of the applicable probationary period. The personnel slate included resignations, leaves of absence, substitute appointments and winter coaching assignments listed in the meeting packet.
Separately, the board approved UC6, terminating Clifton Ketchum Jr. from the Head Bus Driver position in the non‑competitive class of the classified civil service effective Oct. 8, 2024. The termination resolution was carried as presented in the personnel section of the agenda.
