Visitor Clayton Kappauf and primary-school students demonstrated the PS STEAM/FUSE project, explaining how students used 3D printing to create key chains, cookie cutters and a video-game controller developed since October. Kappauf told the board that "the FUSE program starts in 3rd grade," and the students described building a controller and a game that runs with it.
High School Principal Jonathan Cooley introduced Evelyn Emerson as the class valedictorian and Gabriella Hill as salutatorian; both students were present and congratulated. Cooley also reported a 93% average attendance and highlighted student successes: a strong musical production, Odyssey of the Mind placing sixth, and Mock Trial finishing second at the regional competition. He said a "Vaping Me Crazy" assembly led four students to turn in vapes.
Board members thanked the students and presenters for sharing the project and noted the variety of academic and extracurricular accomplishments across the district.
