The board approved Resolution G7 to accept a proposal from Toth's Sports for Daktronics scoreboard equipment and installation tied to the district capital improvement project, at a total cost of $65,975. The resolution authorizes the board president, superintendent, or a designee to execute a contract under Sourcewell Contract #030223-DAK in a form approved by counsel.
The board also received a capital-project status update from Superintendent Nicholas Colosi, who said Phase I bid openings occurred earlier in the day and that the district will schedule a special meeting to award bids so work can begin promptly. Colosi noted the PS/HS campus "will be off limits most of the summer" and that district programs will operate out of the middle school while construction is active; staff will try to establish a path to the pool.
The scoreboard purchase is part of broader Phase I work authorized by the board and will proceed under the piggyback procurement allowed by contract and state law. The board's motions related to the capital project and the scoreboard were recorded and authorized during the April 16 session.
