Oxford board approves substitute hires, winter coaches and support-staff appointments; several retirements accepted

The board accepted letters of intent to retire from bus driver Charlene Bryant (effective after the close of day Dec. 31, 2024) and custodial worker James Manwarren (effective after the close of day Oct. 31, 2024). It also approved the appointment of Penny Hinman as a full-time teacher aide (effective Nov. 4, 2024) and appointed Danny Dewey as Head Bus Driver effective Nov. 5, 2024, pending Civil Service approval. All personnel motions passed Yes-5, No-0.
Board members thanked departing staff for their service and congratulated new appointees; further personnel items will be handled as needed in follow-up meetings.
