Superintendent Nicholas A. Colosi told the board that Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) has requested to use the middle-school fabrication lab for a few hours once a month and that the school attorney has drafted a proposed agreement. Colosi said CCE carries its own insurance and that the district will need to consider compensating an employee to provide set‑up, instruction and lock‑up of equipment; the board will consider action on the agreement at the January meeting.
The request was presented as new business; trustees heard the proposal and did not vote on the agreement on Dec. 2. Board members will review the attorney-drafted agreement and potential operational impacts before taking a vote at the next meeting.
