The Salina Board of Education approved an updated FY27 salary schedule that includes an increase of $2,000 for staff who have completed state certification. The motion was made by Leroy Monk, seconded by Jackie Ball, and recorded as passing unanimously. The minutes reference a salary schedule attachment but do not reproduce the full schedule.
Separately, the board authorized several certified faculty to teach outside their area of certification (including Brandon Green to teach Middle School Geography; David Reisner to teach HS STEM; Ruston Williams and Matt Simmons to teach Intermediate Math; Lillian Tucker to teach Elementary Education; Scott Harmon to teach PE/Health/Safety; and Emma Dorman to teach HS Art). The board also authorized non‑certified faculty to teach as adjunct instructors (including Mackenzie Greene‑Beck for HS English & Yearbook; Alysha Rose for Middle School Math; Haylee Hunley for HS Physical Science; Grant Harmon for E‑Sports; Megan Kelley for MS Science; and Megan Harms for Elementary Education). All authorizations were approved by board vote.
