Lansingburgh Central School District board certifies budget vote; three trustees confirmed

Andrea Fairhurst, president of the Lansingburgh Central School District Board of Education, called a special meeting to order at 8:14 p.m. Tuesday in the Turnpike Elementary School gymnasium and moved to certify the results of the May 20 budget vote and board election.
The board adopted Resolution No. RESO #1-05/20/2025 to accept inspectors’ reports and the district clerk’s certification. The district’s proposed 2025–26 budget was declared passed: High School machine 135 yes, 102 no; Turnpike machine 314 yes, 240 no; absentee ballots 37 yes, 20 no; TOTAL 486 ballots, 362 yes, 123 no. The motion to accept the certified results was made by Jessica Vartigian, seconded by Jillian Manupella, and carried unanimously (Ayes – 8, Nays – 0).
The board also recorded results for the school board election. Michael Drinkwine was listed as awarded a five-year term (High School machine 86; Turnpike machine 225; absentee 16; TOTAL 327). Michael Cusack was also listed as awarded a five-year term (High School 88; Turnpike 217; absentee 22; TOTAL 327). Daniella Richards was listed as awarded a two-year term (High School 93; Turnpike 198; absentee 24; TOTAL 315). Jessica Sloan was recorded as receiving no term (High School 80; Turnpike 195; absentee 23; TOTAL 298).
Following the certification, the board approved a motion to adjourn. Jillian Manupella moved to adjourn, Jessica Vartigian seconded, and the motion carried unanimously; Christina Williams, Clerk to the Board of Education, filed the meeting minutes as respectfully submitted. The meeting ended at 8:16 p.m.
