The Umatilla School District board voted unanimously to adopt a districtwide social studies curriculum package for the coming years. The package includes independent adoptions for kindergarten through fourth grade; Impact Social Studies (digital) for fifth grade; McGraw-Hill World History 1 and 2 and US History: Voices and Perspectives for grades 6–8 and McGraw-Hill Oregon editions for grades 9–12 in 2027.
Board Member Travis Eynon moved to adopt the curriculum as presented; Board Member Jorge Meza seconded the motion. The motion passed on a 6–0 recorded vote. Board discussion did not record amendments to the recommended materials, and the board did not note any objections during the meeting.
