Staff told the board the district is wrapping up its first round of benchmark testing and that initial results are promising, with "a lot of student growth in our youngest reader[s]," the staff member said.
On instructional time, the staff member reported that Kate McGlock reviewed high-school instructional minutes and that the district remains "well within the required minutes," so administrators do not recommend any make-up days for lost instruction at this time. Staff said they will share fuller benchmark results at a subsequent meeting.
The board did not take action on assessment or schedule changes during this session.
