Denise told the board the special revenue funds would increase in total by about $100,000 because of carryover state grants, including Measure 98, the School Improvement Allocation (SIA), early literacy grants and a new summer-learning grant. She said the district must spend these dollars in the current biennium or risk losing them.
On federal funds, Denise said the district previously budgeted for potential ESSER carryover but found there was none this year, resulting in a decrease in federal revenue for those funds. She also described moving some appropriation from support to instruction to pay special-education stipends the state issued recently. The board voted to adopt the supplemental package.
