The Randolph County Schools board voted to approve a personnel slate with one name removed and a corrected start date.
Chair opened the personnel item and confirmed that Melinda White would be pulled from Section E after she declined the job. The board then accepted a correction to the effective start date for the second name listed in Section F (Charlotte Warder), changing the date to 08/18. After discussion the board voted; the chair called for the ayes and the motion passed "That passes 5 0." The meeting record shows the slate was approved with the specified changes.
Board members also heard an administrative note that, because Melinda White withdrew her transfer, the posting for the Jennings position will be rescinded and the related transfer approval will not be required. A staff member told the board the entire position opening would have been contingent on approving the transfer but that step was no longer needed when the employee withdrew.
