Central Cambria students advance in arts and competitions; prom set for May 2

Senior Class President Roy Lian reported April 13 that six students attended the PMEA regional band festival (Kathleen Hodge placed first chair), girls basketball finished 22-7 and won back-to-back district titles, Matthew English won SkillsUSA and will advance to nationals, and prom is scheduled for May 2, 2026.
Senior Class President Roy Lian updated the Central Cambria School District Board on student achievements on April 13, 2026. He reported that six students attended the PMEA regional band festival and that Kathleen Hodge placed first chair and advanced to regionals. The girls basketball team finished the season 22-7, was undefeated at home, won back-to-back district championships and set the school record for 3-point shots.
Rounding out the highlights, the Digital Devils competed in three regular-season tournaments and the Technology Student Association had 13 students qualify for states. The board record shows 64 students certified in Stop the Bleed and 38 certified in CPR. Matthew English placed first at SkillsUSA and will advance to nationals. Prom is scheduled for May 2, 2026, and the CC Spotlight is set for April 15, 2026. Mrs. Michelle Kokus was named the recipient of the Dr. John Powers Outstanding Educator Award from Saint Francis University.
